RISE: Readiness in Support of Employment

RISE is a fast-track, four-week hybrid employment readiness program designed for young adults preparing to enter or reenter the workforce. Centered on the food and hospitality industry, RISE helps participants build confidence, develop a professional mindset, and strengthen the personal habits needed to succeed in today’s workplace.

Participants engage in guided sessions focused on emotional intelligence, communication, teamwork, and leadership. As part of the program, they also complete a self-paced, online ServSafe Food Handler Certification, a nationally recognized credential that improves job prospects in food service and hospitality.

Eligible participants can earn up to $750 in stipends, based on consistent attendance and completion of key milestones such as learning modules and certification.

Following the core training, participants are paired with a coach for one-on-one support in job placement, interview preparation, and transitioning into full-time employment. Coaching is flexible, responsive, and designed to support each participant’s individual goals.

RISE is built for anyone who’s ready to work but needs the structure, accountability, and encouragement to move forward. We meet participants where they are, and help them take the next step with purpose.

Funded by the Commonwealth Corporation’s Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund (WCTF).
